Megaupload.com, the well-known and very popular file repository site was down tonight for many users. Megaupload is one of the largest file sharing sites on the internet and also the source of content for dozens of online video indexers like Cuevana.tv, Icefilms.info and hundreds other.
It looks like Megaupload DNS information has been changed recently which probably caused slow propagation of their domain name servers, DNS lookup timeout, and - in many cases - Megaupload.com down status. By the way their sister site, Megavideo, doesn't seem to be affected. If you're not using Google’s public DNS service yet, maybe it's time to do it right now. This also could help you reach any of your favorite websites when your ISP (internet connection provider) block them for whatever reason. Just follow our step-by-step instruction on how to switch to Google’s public DNS flawlessly and it should resolve site availability issues for you no matter your current geographic location.
